New York

             New York.
                   
I just love New York.

Sadly, I have never been there. I know people say they love New York and you might think, how can you love a place you've never been to?
    
I understand. Because, well, I am one of those people.

I dream of visiting that Wonderland someday.. To buy a hot coffee tea and a croissant and get lost in Central Park. To drop any plans I may have had and spend the day browsing in a quaint boutique I just spotted. Then it's off to the library, where upon hundreds of shelves lie volumes upon volumes of pages to be flicked through. Then an evening dinner, tickets to the theatre..

 

Lately I have become to doubt its existence at all. Maybe it's just a place people made up to aspire to and then you get there and realise it's not a place at all, but just some street corner that holds a petrol station and a small housing estate at its peak.

                                                                                                
No, I don't really believe that. I have watched so many programmes set in New York (Gossip Girl, HIMYM, Friends..) that I think I could quite easily find my way around the place.





No, I don't really believe that either. What I do believe is that someday I will visit New York and when I do it will be all I have imagined and more.

I live in hope.
